The Atrium is now closed to students until Monday 5th January, when we will be back to help with all your queries. We will still be available via phone (0161 275 3781/3033) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) until the 23rd.
All throughout January the Student Support Advisor will be running drop in sessions, so if you’re worried about exams (or any other issues) come to The Atrium once we’ve reopened. The Student Money Advisor will also be running appointments and drop ins again in January.
In the meantime, we know that not all students go home for Christmas, and even those that do may be facing problems. All University services are now closed until January 5th but there are lots of people who can help.
If you’re living in University Accommodation there will be a duty tutor available 24 hours a day. You can find their phone number on noticeboards around halls and they can help with any maintenance issues, but also if you have general concerns or problems.
The Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are always friendly and non-judgemental. If you’re feeling low or just need to have a chat, you can call them on 08457 90 90 90 or email email@example.com
If you have an emergency you should always call 999. However, if you need to speak to the Police for a non-emergency matter, you can call 101 and they will be able to assist you. If you have a medical issue that is not an emergency, call 111 or visit the NHS website.
Although the University’s Counselling Service will be closed over the Christmas period, you may find the resources on their website helpful.
On behalf of everyone at The Atrium I’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we will see you all in 2015!
